After the Buzzer – Vipers 2 Backs 5

Salmon Arm, BC:  The Vernon Vipers had goals from Tyler Chan and Matt Culling but couldn’t solve Liam Vanderkooi more than that as they fell 5-2 on the road.

In a balanced first period he Vipers pushed 13 shots Salmon Arm’s way but couldn’t solve the goaltender.  Simon Tassy had the only goal late.

The Backs exploded for 3 goals in 3 minutes from Santa Juana, Nathan Mackie and Nathan Morin.  The Vipers were sparked by a fight midway through.  Tyler Chan finished off a nice goal with Luke Buss making it 4-1.  Matt Culling sent the game to the dressing room at 4-2 with a buzzer beater.

In the third despite some chances it was Noah Serdachny hitting the open net for a 5-2 final.

The Vipers are back home Friday to kick off a 5-game home stand when they welcome the Prince George Spruce Kings.
