One question for all 32 NHL teams heading into the 2021-22 season

The beginning of a new NHL season always brings hope. Every team starts off with a clean 0-0-0 slate and the potentiality for excitement — and for chaos — is at an all time high.

The 2021-22 NHL season is no different. For the first time since 2018-19, the NHL will be looking to complete a full 82-game schedule after two years of shortened seasons. It really wasn’t that long ago that the Tampa Bay Lightning were crowned back-to-back Stanley Cup champions and the NHL’s 32nd franchise — the Seattle Kraken — assembled their roster for the first time.

But now, the offseason that simultaneously felt too short and too long is finally over and meaningful hockey is about to be played! To continue on with our 2021-22 season preview content, let’s take a look at one question nagging each NHL team before the season gets underway on Tuesday.
