Capitals acquire 20 year old forward Adam Jeffery from Alberni Valley

The Cowichan Capitals are excited to announce the acquisition of 2001 born forward Adam Jeffery from the Alberni Valley Bulldogs in exchange for future considerations. Jeffery, from Leamington, Ontario spent last years Pod Season with the Bulldogs after spending the two previous seasons in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League with his hometown Leamington Flyers. In the pod, Jeffery played 19 of the 20 games and finished with 8 goals and 11 assists for a point per game pace, and finished 5th on the team in scoring. In the two previous seasons in the GOJHL, he played in 94 games recording 34 goals and a total of 92 points. Jeffery adds size to the Capitals forward group, listed at 6’5″ and 195lbs.

“Adam is a big power forward with a great shooting ability. He is a playmaker and a consistent offensive point producer, with a strong compete level. Adam is a smart, mature player and will play a key role in our top forward lines and help on the power play. We are very happy to have acquired Adam and can’t wait to see him in our lineup” said Capitals Head Coach & General Manager Brian Passmore.

In his rookie junior season in 2018-19 Jeffery lead the Flyers in scoring and was also first amoung rookies in scoring in the GOJHL’s Western Conference. He also played that season with former Capitals netminder Zach Borgiel who played in 28 games for Leamington that season.
