On this day in 1991, thirty years ago, four seminal albums were released. Nirvana released "Nevermind," Soundgarden released "Badmotorfinger," the Red Hot Chilli Peppers released "Blood Sugar Sex Magik" and A Tribe Called Quest released "The Low End Theory." I owned and adored all four of these albums.

I still spin three of these albums regularly. Over the years, I've tired of "Blood Sugar Sex Magik," but I'm still digging the Nirvana, Soundgarden and ATCQ. In fact, "Nevermind" remains my favourite Nirvana album, "Badmotorfinger" remains my favourite Soundgarden album, and "The Low End Theory" remains my favourite A Tribe Called Quest album. When it comes to RHCP, I still prefer Mother's Milk.

And you know what? I think those three albums are amongst my 20 favourite albums of all-time.

What a day!
