Later in the period, the Kings would strike with back-to-back power play goals with Nolan Krogfoss finding the net at 16:24 and Josh Kagan adding another to nearly two minutes later to make it a 3-1 Kings lead.

In the third period, Kagan would score again on the man advantage for his 11th goal of the season. A tally from Coquitlam’s Tyler Schleppe at 18:23 would make a 4-2 score which would hold until the final horn.

Goaltender Jakob Drapeau made 21 saves on 23 shots en route to his first BCHL win, while the Express’ Dylan Kruss put aside 27 shots.

The Kings will return to the ice on Monday night to take on the Surrey Eagles at 8pm.
