#LAKings Two LA Kings Prospects Playing on TV – Tune in Today, Tomorrow, and Saturday (MayorsM

0 7
It’s looking more and more like the NHL is headed toward a late January / early February start for the 2020-21 season. And that’s just fine. As discussed on Kings of the Podcast recently, that allows hockey fans everywhere to focus their attention on the upcoming World Junior Championships. While the official tournament starts December 26, each of the 10 teams are schedule to play a pair of exhibition games, beginning on December 20.
Until then, college hockey will have to satisfy your puck cravings. And three LA Kings will be featured on TV in the coming days:
BROCK FABER
Selected in the second round at the 2020 NHL Draft, the 18-year-old defenseman has burst onto the scene in a big way. Fresh on the heels of his recent Kings Of The Podcast appearance, he recently scored his first collegiate goal. Lined up alongside partner Ryan Johnson (Sabres first rounder in 2019, son of Craig Johnson), their Minnesota Golden Gophers are off to a perfect 4-0 record and climbing the college hockey polls. Slotted at No. 5 this week, they’ll be taking on Michigan State today (5pm PST) and Friday (4pm PST). Both games are on FS North, which is DirecTV 668 and DISH 436, assuming you have the sports packages. Also of note, these will be last games before both players are due to leave for World Junior camp with Team USA — something USA GM John Vanbiesbrouck spoke with us about here.
DAVID HRENAK
Coming off of what may be the all-time best guest spot on Kings Of The Podcast, Hrenak and his teammates are ready to return to the ice and keep their momentum going following a season opening win on Tuesday. St. Cloud State is currently playing inside the NCHC bubble in Omaha and they’re certainly not getting an easy opponent next. With the Huskies sitting just outside the Top-20 ranked teams, they’ll be facing No. 4 Denver on Saturday at 6pm PST. That game can be seen on the Altitude channel (DirecTV 681). Seriously, though… if you haven’t heard Hrenak on KOTP, it’s a must listen.
Hrenak is also aiming for a personal milestone, as well.
One more note on LA Kings prospect David Hrenak…
Tonight was @hrenci's 50th win in net for @SCSUHUSKIES_MH
Great milestone number. And it puts him just one back from tying Charlie Lindgren, who holds the school record at 51. pic.twitter.com/iitZUgJ7HD
