0 8

The season has started feeling a bit more normal as additional players have been lacing up their skates and playing in meaningful games. Many have even begun producing points. Take a look…
EUROPE
Lias Andersson: Forward, HV71, SEL (1st round pick in 2017)
Regular season: 2 goals, 4 assists, minus-2, 4 PIM in 9 games played
LA’s most recent acquisition failed to register a point in over 18 minutes of playing time last week.
Tobias Björnfot: Defense, Djurgårdens IF, SEL (1st round pick in 2019)
Regular season: 1 goal, 2 assists, plus-1, 29 PIM in 10 games played
The Kings 2019 first-round pick had an exciting week, as he potted an additional assist and registered his first career SHL goal.

Martin Chromiak, Forward, HK Dukla Trencin, Slovakia (5th round pick in 2020)

Dudas played twice for Berlin in the Magenta Cup, yet was held off the scoresheet in both contests.

Helge Grans: Defense, Malmö Redhawks, SHL (2nd round pick in 2020)
Regular season: 2 goals, 4 assists, minus-6, 0 PIM in 11 games played
We continue waiting for Grans to see some ice time; his last appearance was on Halloween.
Carl Grundström: Forward, IF Björklöven , Allsvenskan (2nd round pick in 2016)
Regular season: 3 goals, 6 assists, plus-3, 14 PIM in 12 games played
In two appearances this week, Grundstrom added a goal to his Allsvenskan totals, while averaging over 16 minutes a game.
Jacob Ingham: Goalie, Eisbären Berlin, DEL (6th round pick in 2018)
Regular season: N/A
Ingham tended the net once during the Magenta Cup. In a valiant effort, he allowed two goals on 31 shots. Yet, Berlin could not provide any offensive support, as they lost 3-0.
Aatu Jämsen: Forward, Pelicans U20, U20 SM-sarja (7th round pick in 2020)
Regular season: 9 goals, 23 assists, plus-11, 26 PIM in 21 games played
After missing some time from a collision, the latest pick in the Kings organization produced three apples in as many appearances.
Juho Markkanen: Goalie, Ketterä, Mestis (4th round pick in 2020)
Regular season: 3-2-2, 2.66 GAA, .892 SV%, 1 SO in 7 games played
Markkanen posted 19 saves, yet it wasn’t enough to elevate his team. Kettera lost 3-1.
Jacob Moverare: Defense, SaiPa, Liiga (4th round pick in 2016)
Regular season: 0 goals, 3 assists, minus-3, 29 PIM in 9 games played
Moverare’s most recent appearance saw him add two helpers, one of which was an assist on the overtime winner.
Kim Nousiainen: Defense, KalPa, Liiga (4th round pick in 2019)
Regular season: 4 goals, 1 assist, plus-6, 4 PIM in 13 games played
Kim The Finn snapped his seven-game scoreless streak, as he fired a goal in.
And another Kings prospect scored today, defenseman Kim Nousiainen…
(it was also Kings on Kings crime, as he's playing Simontaival’s Tappara team) https://t.co/PbGh5YAfjU

LukᚠPa?ík: Goalie, Spokane Chiefs, WHL (3rd round pick in 2019)
Regular season: 4-1-2, 3.25 GAA, .894 SV%, 0 Shutouts in 7 games played
Benatky returned to play after the Czech league was shut down for nearly six weeks due to COVID. Parik backstopped his team to a 2-1 win in his lone appearance.
Bulat Shafigullin: Forward, Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk, KHL (3rd round pick in 2018)
Regular season: 1 goal, 3 assists, minus-7, 29 PIM in 23 games played
The Russian forward also saw his scoreless streak end. He assisted on the game-winner Sunday as Niznekamsk won 5-2.
Kasper Simontaival: Forward, Tappara, Liiga (3rd round pick in 2020)
Regular season: 0 goals, 1 assist, plus-1, 4 PIM in 6 games played (Liiga)
3 goals, 4 assists, plus-1, 4 PIM in 5 games played (Mestis)
Simontaival appeared once this week in Liiga, yet was blanked in less than nine minutes of playing time.
Johan Sodergran: Forward, Almtuna, Allsvenskan (6th round pick in 2018)
Regular season: 1 goal, 2 assists, minus-2, 6 PIM in 12 games played
Almtuna has yet to play since November 4, which obviously kept the forward from adding to his totals.
Akil Thomas: Forward, Eisbären Berlin, DEL (2nd round pick in 2018)
Regular season: NA
Playing for Berlin in an international tournament, Thomas contributed his first professional point, picking up the secondary assist in a 3-2 overtime loss.
NCAA + USHL
Braden Doyle: Defense, Dubuque Fighting Saints, USHL (6th round pick in 2019)
Regular season: 0 goals, 2 assists, minus-2, 2 PIM in 2 games played
Another postponement due to COVID kept Dubuque from getting on the ice this past week.
Brock Faber: Defense, Minnesota Golden Gophers, Big Ten (2nd round pick in 2020)
Regular season: 0 goals, 0 assists, plus-2, 0 PIM in 2 games played
Though he didn’t register a point in his first collegiate appearances, the new defenseman didn’t look out of place as he helped protect Minnesota to a 2-0 season start.
OOF.

Dávid Hrenák: Goalie, St. Cloud State University Huskies, NCHC (5th round pick in 2018)
Regular season: NA
St Cloud and the senior goaltender continue to await for December 1, which is when their season is slated to begin.
Alex Laferriere: Forward, Des Moines Buccaneers, USHL (3rd round pick in 2020)
Regular season: 0 goals, 0 assists, minus-2, 17 PIM in 1 game played
Perhaps the long wait pented up some aggression in Laferriere. His first game in the USHL saw him pick up two minutes for hooking. In the final stanza, he picked up another 15 (five-minute major for checking from behind followed by a game misconduct). No supplemental discipline has been announced as of this writing.
Andre Lee: Forward, UMass-Lowell River Hawks, Hockey East (7th round pick in 2019)
Regular Season: NA
Lee readied for his season premier, which is set to take place on November 27.
Ben Meehan: Defense, UMass-Lowell River Hawks, Hockey East (6th round pick in 2020)
Regular Season: NA
Along with Lee, the River Hawks’ newcomer is set to make his college debut the day after Thanksgiving.
CANADIAN JUNIOR LEAGUES
Quinton Byfield, Forward, Sudbury Wolves, OHL (1st round pick in 2020)
Regular season: NA
Though kept off the scoresheet during Canada’s WJC selection camp, it wasn’t for lack of trying. Byfield had a goal called back when he kicked in a rebound off the boards. Coach Andre Tourigny still felt Byfield was a positive stand-out.

No news for Kaliyev this week. There was no OHL training or Team USA selection camp this week in which he participated.
Jordan Spence: Defense, Moncton Wildcats, QMJHL (4th round pick in 2019)
Regular season: 5 goals, 11 assists, minus-4, 14 PIM in 13 games played
Spence took part in Team Canada’s selection camp this week, which took him out of QMJHL action. He registered an assist in the first contest.
