#LAKings LA Kings Weekly Prospect Tracker, Week Ending October 25, 2020 (MayorsManor)

0 9

As is the course of the season, our first follow up entails some highs and lows. We still await official word on several leagues starting, and until further notice, two prospects are removed due to their current inactive status.
As reported on Kings of the Podcast, Tyler Madden sustained an injury during a German exhibition game, so he came back to North America for further evaluation. Alex Turcotte, who contributed a helper last weekend, also returned to Los Angeles and he will be training in SoCal until further notice.

The most recent trade acquisition finally returned to action after a five game suspension and selling his car to pay the fine. He returned in style, as he pounced on a rebound to get his team on the board.

Akil Thomas: Forward, Eisbären Berlin, DEL (2nd round pick in 2018)
Regular season: NA
Thomas eagerly remained behind to participate in a mini tournament with Berlin.
NCAA + USHL
Braden Doyle: Defense, Dubuque Fighting Saints, USHL (6th round pick in 2019)
Regular season: NA
The preseason started for the USHL, and some Kings on Kings crime took place as Doyle and Dubuque took on Laferriere and Des Moines. The two exchanged assists as Des Moines came out on top, 3-2.
Brock Faber: Defense, Minnesota Golden Gophers, Big Ten (2nd round pick in 2020)
Regular season: NA
No additional news has been released for the start of collegiate hockey, so Faber still has his calendar marked to represent Team USA at the WJC.
Dávid Hrenák: Goalie, St. Cloud State University Huskies, NCHC (5th round pick in 2018)
Regular season: NA
The senior netminder lacks the luxury of hoping for the WJC, like many of his fellow prospects. Without an NCAA season and not able to sign a contract which would affect his senior season, Hrenák remains in limbo.
Alex Laferriere: Forward, Harvard Crimson, ECAC (3rd round pick in 2020)
Regular season: NA
In a head-to-head match against fellow Kings prospect Doyle, Laferriere earned a helper as the Buccaneers came out on top in exhibition.

Regular Season: NA
No news this week for Lee, who also awaits the NCAA season to start.

Regular season: NA
A quiet week passed for Chromiak. No news update.
Arthur Kaliyev: Forward, Hamilton Bulldogs, OHL (2nd round pick in 2019)
Regular season: NA
While no news arose for Kaliyev, MayorsManor contributor Davis Green provided some additional analysis in a separate article about how the sniper’s goal production changed with differing levels of competition.
