Return to Ringette Update – July 24th
We hope you are having a safe and enjoyable summer. Ringette season is not far off and Ringette Alberta’s supplement to Ringette Canada’s National Direction for Return to Ringette will be released shortly.
This document will answer the questions you have about how ringette will comply with the directives from Alberta Health with the health and safety of all participants as the number 1 priority.
The 2020-21 season will not look typical, as is the case for all sports, however we can assure you that competition will be permitted, albeit with restrictions.
In the meantime, there is some information already posted on the Return to Ringette section of the Ringette Alberta website for review.
Members wishing to operate camps in August will be permitted to do so. Sanctioning will be required, as usual, however the application process will be modified to accommodate Alberta Health Services Guidelines.
Ringette Alberta appreciates the tremendous patience and understanding of all Members and Participants since the cancellation of the 2019-20 season and look forward to this continuing as we work together to make the return to ringette a success.
