POSITION: DIRECTOR, TICKET OPERATIONS

REPORTS TO: CEO

Each employee participates in the ticket sales and servicing process at a level and to a degree that fits with their respective job duties and responsibilities, as mutually determined by the employee and their supervisor.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer the sales and operational activity in Archtics and Ticketmaster (e.g. season ticket plans, partial plans, single game events and promotional events) and oversee the use of Groupmatics and FEVO.
  • Work with CEO in collaboration with Director of Ticket Sales & Memberships to manage and lead group sales and inside sales program and staff.
  • Handle Heat team and visiting team game day ticketing requirements.
  • Train the sales department on the Archtics Ticketing System, including sales, returns, exchanges, and account management.
  • Set up price codes, promo codes, discount qualifiers and fees as necessary throughout the season to support various sales and marketing opportunities.
  • Build all Stockton Heat events in the ticketing system and make static plans through hierarchy.
  • Construct, update and maintain The Heat’s Account Manager website.
  • Create and manage inventory for sales of season plans, group and individual tickets by event.
  • Maintain and allocate specific inventory for ticket holds, promotions, sponsorship and additional platforms.
  • Administer ticket print files and data files for the creation of season membership cards.
  • Operate the daily processing of payments, refunds and credits for season tickets, mini plans and group sales.
  • Monitor accounts receivables so that inventory may be released on a timely basis.
  • Supervise ticket holder account balances for proper accounting and invoicing, as well as run monthly payment plans.
  • Manage the distribution of tickets for season ticket plans, mini plans and group sales via mail, ticketfast and will call.
  • Assist the Heat sales and marketing departments in the preparation of lists for sales campaigns.
  • Facilitate with merchandising manager to form proper promotional ticket offers and prices.
  • Maintain the master inventory lists of ticket sales and parking.
  • Develop and submit monthly commission for all sales staff.
  • Support sales and service staff during renewal and new sales efforts.
  • Assemble game settlements for the AHL, Stockton Arena and Calgary Flames.
  • Develop and create ticket templates for game tickets and ticket vouchers.
  • Construct the seating manifest for the Stockton Arena and integrate into Archtics.
  • Provide bi-weekly ticket and corporate sales reports to CEO.
  • Prepare monthly reports regarding sales and attendance to present to Calgary.
  • Communicate with Stockton Arena box office daily regarding sales, reporting, game day management and ticket promotion builds.
  • Attend weekly meetings with SMG and Stockton Arena directors in preparing and coordinating the management of Stockton Heat events.
  • Facilitate continuously with Ticketmaster to set up all ticketing and promotional obligations.
  • On game day, manage ticket resolution desk for any ticketing or customer problems as well as govern the ticket exchange program.
  • Report attendance numbers to AHL Off-Ice officials during each game.
  • Oversee Box Office staffing on game nights.
  • Oversee Heat’s prospect and customer database.
  • Prepare and submit AHL sales reports as needed.

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • Strong proficiency in Archtics ticketing system, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sales, servicing administrative or operations experience in the sports industry and entertainment, or hospitality, preferred.
  • Basic proficiency with technology and business analytics.
  • Ability and interest in functioning as a member of a team, in a competitive environment collaborating with others.
