Orlando tied the game in the closing minutes of the third period only to have the Ads take the second point in overtime. The Solar Bears welcomed back Otto Somppi from Syracuse, and he promptly matched his 21-game total with the Crunch in one night with Orlando. Somppi has been playing in a very limited role with Syracuse, and considering Jonne Tammela was just recalled this gives Somppi some playing time.
Martin Ouellette was in net for all seven goals against, which knocked his save percentage below .910 and upped his GAA over the 3-goal mark.
The Solar Bears (27-19-4-0) pulled back into a tie for second in the South Division with the loser point. The will host the Swamp Rabbits for back-to-back games this weekend.
