Orlando rookie and former Dartmouth Big Green Corey Kalk had a hat trick and Martin Ouellette responded from getting pulled against Florida with a win as the Solar Bears beat Jacksonville for the fifth straight time, 6-3. Matt Spencer contributed an assist in the win for Orlando.
The Solar Bears (26-19-3-0) jumped over Jacksonville with the win into a second-place tie with South Carolina in the South Division. Orlando has one game in hand on the Stingrays and three on the Icemen. Florida leads the division in Lightning-like fashion by 20 points. The Solar Bears host Manchester on Sunday to close out their weekend.
