PensBurgh Podcast, Ep. 6: Down Goes Brown

0 4

The Athletic’s Sean McIndoe a.k.a. Down Goes Brown joins the show to talk about some NHL and Pittsburgh Penguins history!

Episode 6 of the PensBurgh Podcast features a wonderful interview from Sean McIndoe, known throughout internet hockey circles as Down Goes Brown.

Sean discusses the thought process behind his new book, what Sidney Crosby’s Golden Goal at the 2010 Olympics meant for Canada, and he examines where Crosby and Evgeni Malkin may end up among the all-time greats of the game when they decide to hang up the skates.

Make sure to follow Sean on Twitter to stay up to date on his doings at The Athletic as well as great tidbits of hockey history: @DownGoesBrown.

Also, make sure to grab a copy of Sean’s new book: The Down Goes Brown History of the NHL: The World’s Most Beautiful Sport, the World’s Most Ridiculous League

Also joining the podcast for the first time is PensBurgh’s Robbie Naugle. Robbie and I go on to discuss what the Penguins have done since our last podcast, recapping the tough five-game losing streak the team is on. We also examine what Jim Rutherford may or may not do to the team if this slump continues.

Enjoy the show!
