Do you need to hear from Terry?

0

After the controversial replay call in New England, Terry went on The Instigators, a Sabres-produced show dedicated to the Buffalo Sabres, and made his statement on the call. He also talked about the World Juniors. The hosts did not ask him about the Sabres, but Terry did very briefly touch on the team's scoring woes in the context of watching prospects in the junior tournament, hoping they would fill the net.

After the Bills game in Miami, he was asked how it felt to finally have some success with one of his teams. The questioner specifically mentioned the Sabres. It seemed like an opportunity for Terry to throw us a bone and say something like, "And the Sabres will be next." Or "We'll get the Sabres to this point too." He didn't take the opportunity. (Actually his answer was a little vague and could be taken to include the Sabres. He said something like, "We'll keep working on it.")

Then, when asked if he was looking forward to seeing Bills fans at the airport, he said wouldn't be flying back to town. "I have to go to a hockey game in New York." The wording seemed odd. He had to go?

A simple question or two. Do you need to hear from Terry? Do you get the impression he cares about the Sabres? Assuming you think he does, does he need to do a better job of showing it?
