Ottawa defenseman Jake Sanderson intercepted a puck on the left side of the neutral zone and skated toward Lightning goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy, who made the save. Center Shane Pinto gathered the puck at the top of the crease with 1:47 remaining in the third period. Pinto scored his second goal of the evening, and Ottawa shaded Tampa Bay 5-4.
