Game Updates

90+5’ - Ref blows his whistle. Not the best of games for the U. Especially since they had a week off. Next match is an i-95 rival, Dead bulls on Thursday.

90+4’ - Boys in blue pushing up here on the left side, trying to find a place to attack. As the ball comes into the box it called a handball on a Union player. However Union are appealing it was on Nashville.

90+2’ - Union have a corner here from the far flag. Wagner sets up and curls it towards the net but it is cleared out.

90’ - Final sub here for Nashville. We are also have the fourth official letting us know there will be at least 5 minutes of stoppage time here.

88’ - Every cross the Union get into the box, Nashville is on the end clearing it. It happened here again as the ball kept getting pushed out of the box. U earn a corner here.

87’ - Nashville making another change here taking out Leak and bringing in Luke Haakenson.

82’ - Flach’s night is done and he is replaced by Sullivan. Nashville also makes a change here.

79’ - Apparently there was an advantage call by the ref, but never actually signaled one. When play was stopped Martinez was shown a yellow card.

71’ - Union once again lucky as the ball hits off the post and gets tracked down by Blake. At the same time Nashville complaining again looking for a foul inside the box as two players go down right in front of goal.

66’ - Flach is up and on the sideline. As the U start with a throw in, and passing back and forth on the far sideline, Flach comes back onto the pitch.

65’ - Play is stopped as the Ref notices Flach getting smashed between two players. The ref points to his head and immediately waives the medical staff onto the field.

64’ - Union earn a corner off of Santos’ shot. Wagner swings it in from the left flag and it falls to the foot of Nashville.

61’ - Play resumes here with a long throw from Nashville into the box. Union easily handle it and both players are allowed back onto the pitch.

60’ - Play is stopped here as both Martinez and Mbaizo are both down on the pitch. The Medical staff is on the pitch looking at both players.

56’ - Early subs here for Curtin, who usually waits until after the hour mark. Gazdag’s night is finished as he is replaced by Martinez and then Burke is replaced by Santos.

50’ - A third corner of the half for Nashville here. This time it is from the left flag and Sapong slides to get a foot on it, and it goes over the net. Nashville’s subs that were made at the half was actually two players. Godoy for Anunga and Muyl for Johnston.

47’ - Nashville corner from the right flag is driven to the right flag and it falls outside of the box to the Union. The U start a counter and Monteiro is pulled down on the attack. In any other league that is a foul, however it goes uncalled here.

46’ - Second half got underway at 9:12 PM. Nashville also made a HT sub. Will updated you on who when it comes across.

HALF

45+3’ - Ref has signaled for half time.

45+2’ - Obviously we are getting more time added after about 2 minutes was spent on the video review.

45+1’ - Nashville is appealing for a handball here. Seems like VAR is taking a very long look here as the ref and VAR are having a lengthy look at it. Officially announced it is under review and it is ruled no handball.

We will have at least 1 minute of stoppage time.

44’ - Union give up another foul that is around the same place as Lovitz’s last free kick. It amounts to nothing.

39’ - Best Attack of the game so far for the U. A nice juggle and pass to get the ball forward to a streaking Przybylko who shoots it on frame and it is stopped. However no one continued the run to pick up the rebound.

33’- Zimmerman almost killed the Union again here. His header off the set piece is basically blocked by Elliott.

28’ - Corner kick here, played to the far post and it is headed wide of the net by Przybylko

27’- Much better work here by the Union. Short direct passes from the right corner flag all the way to the left side of the box. One issue when they went to cross into the box, no one made the run on the right side.

19’ - Free kick for Nashville here, they have two players over the ball. They go with Lovitz, who curls the ball off his left foot to the far post. It gets crossed back to the near post and a sliding Nashville player misses connecting with the wide shot and it goes out for a goal kick.

14’ - Nashville once again free on the counter and the only thing that stopped Sapong, was Blake who was way off his line and at the top left of the penalty area.

5’ - Free kick for the Union around the center circle. Union play it up the right wing and it goes out for a throw. Off the quick restart and a few back and forth passing, the U’s attempted shot on goal is deflected.

2’ - Shades of last week here. Sapong picks up the ball and starts the counter. Sends it wide to a player on the right wing. Sapong continues his run and gets between the two center backs and sends it into the back of the net.

1’ - We have a soccer game in Music City. Kickoff happened at 8:08 PM. Union playing in the dark blue this evening.
