No, 5-ranked amateur golfer to make pro debut at Capital Hills

Most of the 144 golfers entered in this week's Fuccillo Kia Classic of New York at Capital Hills have been through the grind.

Heading that list is Katelyn Dambaugh, who reached No. 5 in the Women's World Amateur Golf Rankings and just finished her senior season at South Carolina.

Last year was really cool for me, Talley said, being my debut and finishing second after getting beat in a playoff.

Over the last four years, that's what has helped me the most, just getting mentally in the right mindset and learning not to lose your (focus) on the golf course.

Dambaugh is starting a bit behind in the race to finish in the top 10 of the Symetra Tour money list, which is the level that earns players 2018 LPGA cards.
