[Women's Golf] Swingos just one of eight Tigers to repeat as scholar athlete
Women's golf finished off a solid first season under the direction of first-year head coach Marlene Schulte. The Georgetown College Tigers started the spring season with an eighth-place finish in Florida and worked up to taking sixth in the Mid-South Conference Championship – a three-round competition compared to the usual two-day tournaments during regular season.
Helping with the transition for the new coach was senior Sydney Swingos. The lone graduating player on this youthful team balanced the importance of student-athlete, consistently being one of the top three golfers for the Tigers and maintaining at least a 3.5 grade point average in the classroom.
