[Women's Golf] Herndon, Hogan named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced Thursday that 174 women's golf student-athletes have been named 2017 Daktronics-NAIA Women's Golf Scholar-Athletes. Siena Heights (Mich.) leads the way with seven individuals.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.
Olivet Nazarene University had two honored this year, one for a second time. Senior Lyndsey Herndon (SR/Pinckney, Mich.) was honored for the second consecutive season and junior Julie Hogan (JR/Pontiac, Ill.) was named to the list for the first time in her career.
