Day One Recap

Day Two Recap

Another day of windy conditions were made worse by rain altering play. A 73 was the best score the first two days. Friday the low score was a 74 and there were just two golfers to turn in that round.

Alexa Rippy moved up two spots in the field while battling the wind and rain. The Clarksville, TN senior started on the back nine for the second consecutive day and and was two over through six holes, but finished with a bogey on the final three holes for a five-over par 41. After turning to the front nine, Rippy birdied hole #1 and finished the front nine at four-over par 40.

Trevecca director of golf David Head commented, "Alexa battled again through tough conditions as did the rest of the field. She had some moment a couple of times and moved up a couple of more places in the field. These greens are notoriously tough at Findlay Country Club and the wind and now rain have only made them tougher to score on. We are hoping for better conditions and for some putts to drop during the final round Saturday."

Rippy is 20 strokes off the lead and now 11 out of the top 10. The field of 72 golfers will play the final 18 holes on Saturday.

Rippy is one of two golfers in the field to record an eagle.

SATURDAY TEE TIME
