[Women's Golf] Mehaffey earns CCAC All-Conference nod for outstanding season

CHICAGO --- Olivet Nazarene University's Mackenzie Mehaffey (SO/Winchester, Ind.) earned CCAC All-Conference honors, announced by the league office on Wednesday morning. It is the first selection of her career to the five-member team.

Mehaffey helped the Tigers to a second-place finish at the CCAC Championships last week. She finished tied for 15th overall after shooting 10 strokes better on day two.  She recorded six top 10 finishes among the 12 meets she competed in during the 2016-17 campaign.  In four of those meets, the sophomore claimed individual medalist honors (including three straight) and was runner-up on one occasion.  She placed in the top-20 in all one but invitational and was above 90 on the scorecard one time.

Mehaffey shot five of her 23 rounds under 80, and shot a season-best two-day score of 149 (74-75, +5) (74 was one-day best) at the University of St. Francis (Ind.) Spring Invite early in April.  She finished the year with an average round of 82.4.
