[Women's Golf] Women's Golf | Trevecca's Alexa Rippy Makes NCAA East Super Regional Field Again
NASHVILLE – Alexa Rippy of the Trevecca Nazarene University women's golf team qualified for the NCAA-II East Regional in the 2017 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships for the third consecutive season.
The Trojans record-setting golfers joins a 12-team regional field that will play at the Glenmoor Country Club (web), a Jack Nicklaus Signature Course, in Canton, Ohio, May 8-10, 2017. It is one of four regionals, hosted by future G-MAC member Walsh University, being conducted over the same weekend.
The three-day, 54-hole tournament, will send the top three teams along with the top-three individuals (not with an advancing team) to the national championships. All 12 bids in each region will be at-large with no automatic qualifiers for conference champions.
Alexa Rippy is the three-time G-MAC Medalist, including her late second-round run to edge teammate Rachael McMahan for the G-MAC Medalist title this season.
