[Women's Golf] Thompson Claims CCAC Women’s Golfer of the Week Award

CHICAGO – Saint Xavier University senior Taylor Thompson (Galesburg, Ill./Knoxville) has been named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Women's Golfer of the Week after earning medalist honors over the weekend when it was announced by the league office Wednesday morning.  Thompson finished first overall against 50 other challengers at the Bethel College (Ind.) Pilot Spring Invite this past weekend after notching rounds of 75 on Friday and 81 on Saturday.  As a team, SXU placed second among the 10 schools at the Invite, which was played at the Blackthorn Golf Club in South Bend, Ind.
