Golf Shop News – April Update

Golf season begins in April, and there’s nothing quite like spending time at the club, enjoying a round of golf, and watching the Masters. It’s one of the best times of the year at the Brickyard.

During Masters Week, the Golf Shop will host a daily contest called “Pick Your Masters Pro.” Each day, members select a Masters professional to pair with their own round. The Member’s Stableford score is combined with the pro’s Stableford score to create a team total. Winnings will be awarded daily from Thursday through Sunday, with ties splitting the prize.

Members will receive 85% of their course handicap, with a pro quota of 36 and the member quota calculated accordingly. Entry is just $5 per day. Stop by the Golf Shop for full details.

We also have an exciting lineup of custom club fitting events coming up. TaylorMade will be onsite Friday, April 17 from 10 AM–3 PM, followed by Mizuno on April 24. Upcoming fittings include Ping on May 1, Callaway on May 15, and Titleist on June 5. As a member benefit, all fitting day orders will receive 10% off. Be on the lookout for signup emails with reservation links.

The Brickyard Invitational is scheduled for June 13–14, with entries opening April 1. This year’s event will feature tee times and a Calcutta on Friday, June 12 at 7 PM. The field will be limited to 84 teams. The course will be closed during the tournament weekend, with the practice facility open from 12 PM–6:30 PM both days for members.

We are currently seeking volunteers to help make the event a success. Flexible shifts ranging from 2 to 6 hours are available. Volunteers will receive a gift certificate for one round of golf for a foursome. Food and beverages will be provided. Please see Derek or Blair if you are interested in helping.

Please remember to cancel any unused tee times. Tee times can be booked up to 10 days in advance, either by calling the Golf Shop or reserving online. Be sure to include all players when booking to avoid conflicts and eliminate no-shows.

The guest policy remains in place: the same guest may play once per month.

The PGA Jr. League season runs from April through July. We are asking members to donate used or new golf balls to support the junior program. Donations can be dropped off at the Golf Shop in Derek’s office.
