Uber Golf Is Launching -- and Topgolf Is Joining in on the Action
Just in time for spring and its near-perfect weather, Uber Golf is launching to help make your tee time a little easier.
The popular ride-share app is addressing what can be a complete nightmare: fitting your golf crew in one vehicle with enough room for clubs, too. That's almost always a challenge, which results in groups riding to the course separately.
But now Uber Golf is here to help you manage the logistics before teeing off at your favorite course. According to the ride-share app, Uber Golf makes getting to and from the course easier.
Here's How It Works
Uber Golf is part of Uber Reserve, meaning you can reserve your ride to and from the course up to 90 days in advance for this seasonal offering.
In the Uber app, golfers can tap the Uber Golf tile and reserve an UberX (up to two guests with two sets of clubs) or UberXL (up to four guests with four sets of clubs).
Uber and Topgolf Form Partnership
Need to work on your backswing, but prefer a fun and active environment? Uber One members can now get 20 percent off at Topgolf.
Uber says its Uber One members can redeem their discount by navigating to the "Account" tab within the Uber app and selecting the "Uber One" tile.
The unique code can be applied at checkout when booking bay reservations made on Topgolf's app or website, as well as walk-ins.
Topgolf Also Rolling Out Masters-Themed Menu With John Daly's Help
Ahead of golf's first major, Topgolf and golf legend John Daly will make Topgolf Augusta the unofficial 19th hole during the Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia.
The beer-loving Daly will post up at the famed venue on Thursday, April 9, and Friday, April 10, from 6-9 p.m. Topgolf says players looking to take a few swings with Daly are encouraged to book a bay early to secure a spot.
Topgolf Augusta also offers a full-service restaurant, bar, and patio to watch the tournament highlights. There will also be nightly live music.
To celebrate the tradition unlike any other, Topgolf is rolling out a national, limited-edition tournament menu at venues from April 7-12.
In a nod to the Masters' famously inexpensive menu, Topgolf will have items priced between $5 and $7, including the world-famous Pimento Cheese Dip, Azalea-themed cocktails, and more.
What's more, there will also be a nationwide "green ball" surprise for players between April 10 and 12, where they can find special green balls across random ball dispensers nationwide during gameplay and claim prizes.
