Husqvarna Golf and Sports Channel honors MTE Equipment Solutions with inaugural Dealer of the Year Award

Husqvarna, a provider of outdoor power equipment and autonomous turf solutions, honored MTE Equipment Solutions as the recipient of its first-ever Golf and Sports Turf Channel Dealer of the Year Award. This inaugural recognition celebrates a dealer partner that has demonstrated exceptional commitment to sales excellence, customer service, technical support and advancing robotics adoption in the Golf and Sports Turf (GST) sector. 

The announcement was made during a special presentation in which Husqvarna leaders emphasized the critical role dealers play in the company’s success. 

“Our channel at Husqvarna is everything to us in the GST business, and we are so excited that today we get to recognize true excellence,” said Dave Plaster, vice president of sports and golf turf. 

MTE Equipment Solutions, provider of professional-grade outdoor equipment, service and support to turf professionals, municipalities and commercial customers throughout New York, New England and Northern New Jersey, was praised for its exceptional dedication to supporting customers, superintendents and ground crews — particularly as demand for autonomous mowing technology accelerates. 

At the Patterson Club, superintendent, Jason Meersman, described MTE as indispensable: “Having a good dealer makes our jobs easier. During a crazy year … it is so valuable to have people that are there for you at the drop of a hat. Having a great dealer is like having another assistant on the team,” he said.

Customer success story: Cavalry Club 

The Cavalry Club in Manlius, N.Y., recently adopted seven Husqvarna CEORA autonomous mowers for fairways, approaches and select rough areas — an operational shift made possible through MTE’s support. 

Superintendent Jeff Moesch praised the dealer’s hands-on involvement: “I would like to first congratulate MTE Equipment Solutions. We purchased seven CEORA autonomous mowers this fall,” he said. “The service the team provided — Matt Simon, Geoff Robeson and especially Lee Gray — made this adoption seamless.
