This Saturday 28th March will be the first competition of the golfing year and will be the Men’s Captain Gary Lavery “Captains Drive Team Scramble” event.

Team Scramble Handicap Calculator:

The team handicap is calculated as 1 handicap allowance:

• 4 Ball – 25%, 20%,15% and 10%
• 3 Ball – 30%, 20% and 10%
• 2 Ball – 35% and 15%

From the lowest to the highest course handicap.

The computer will work it all out when players are selected.

Team Scramble Playing Rules: (Better Ball)

1. Each team member of the two ball, three ball or four ball must use at least 3 of their drives during the 18 holes (Par 4 or Par 5 holes). This must be indicated on the scorecard by an *
2. One drive (or best drive) of the 3 or 4 players is then selected, and the other players move their ball to this point on the golf course. All players must then hit their next shot from this new spot and so on until the hole is completed.
3. If a shot is being chosen from the rough or a bunker, the ball must be played first and then the other balls are placed at the nearest spot and played in turn.
4. When scoring, only the final score for each hole is marked on the team scorecard.
5. Total all the scores up and then return your team scorecard into the score recording area beside the main office after your team is finished.
