The DP World Tour Comes to Real Club de Golf El Prat in 2026

In May of 2026, Real Club de Golf El Prat will be host to the prestigious DP World Tour. 

The Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship is a brand-new event on the 2026 schedule. It will be coming to Barcelona and opening the European Swing of the DP World Tour.

What is the DP World Tour?

The DP World Tour is the main men’s European golf tour. Though inherently and historically a European tour, it has evolved a lot since its conception in 1972. It now exists on a global schedule, with more than 40 tournaments in 26 different countries across 5 different continents. 

It is a season-long competition that is known as the Race to Dubai, as at the end of the season the DP World Tour Championship will be held in Dubai. Players score points based on their position each tournament, and whoever holds the most points at the end of the final tournament in Dubai is crowned the champion.

The Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship is a brand-new addition to the DP World Tour scheduled for 2026. This tournament will help to build further excitement in the region for when Camiral will be hosting the 2031 Ryder Cup. 

The renowned Pink Course of Real Club de Golf El Prat is where the action will take place. This Pink Course is one of the premier golf courses of Spain and often ranks among Europe’s best courses. 

Designed by former professional golf legend Greg Norman, the 18-hole Pink Course offers many challenges and obstacles that will test even the best players.
