Frear Golf Course in Troy opens for the season
TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Frear Park Golf Course has officially opened for the season in Troy. Members of the Troy High School Golf Team joined Mayor Carmella Mantello in making the opening tee shot on the first hole Wednesday morning to celebrate the opening.
The golf course announced that there will also be a temporary restaurant opening in late April for golfers to get food, cold drinks, and be able to relax. This restaurant, operated by Troy native Brad Stevens, will provide a welcoming space for all with a focus on community engagement.
The interim restaurant is a part of a renovation at the park, including pickleball courts, playgrounds, and accessibility improvements.
