Golf bad boy John Daly rakes in £600,000 at Augusta despite not even playing The Masters… thanks to Hooters
GOLF bad boy John Daly has raked in £600,000 at Augusta – despite not playing at the Masters – thanks to HOOTERS.
The iconic putter, 58, is one of golf’s biggest names thanks to his eccentric lifestyle.
Daly put himself on the map with victory at the 1991 PGA Championship.
While his incredible diet of soda, booze, chocolate and cigarettes has made him a fan favourite for years.
Daly continues to impress as part of the Champions Tour.
But he is now cashing in at the latest edition of the Masters.
Daly is not playing at this year’s tournament.
Indeed, his last appearance at Augusta came almost two decades ago.
But after raking in £600,000 last year, Daly is back in town again.
And it’s all thanks to popular restaurant chain Hooters.

Daly is a big fan of the eatery, which is famed for its scantily-clad waitresses and bargain–priced wings.
In 2022, Hooters handed him an official promotional deal.
Masters 2025
THE Masters is back this weekend!
The biggest tournament in the sport is already underway as we head to Sunday’s big finale.
Scottie Scheffler is the defending champion and the man to beat at Augusta, as he is the bookies’ favourite to win it for a third time in four years.
Justin Rose is also among the favourites, while Rory McIlroy is seen as an outside bet.
LIV golfers such as Phil Mickelson are also back in the fold – meaning it could be one of the biggest for a while.

And last year, he spent the entirety of the Masters at the Hooters venue in Augusta.
There, Daly flogged items to happy fans including hats, autographed golf balls and even boxes of cigars.
It saw the ace rake in a whopping £600k.
And the New York Post claims Daly’s team are confident of making an even higher sum this year.
Reflecting on his business model, Daly declared: “Eat some good food, smoke, sell some s**t.”
Last month, Daly opened up on his latest health scare after undergoing 16 surgeries in the past four years.
He said: “I didn’t think I’d been out here for three decades, I’ve only been dead eleven times.
“I’m like Lazarus, I just keep coming back from the dead.”
