SiteOne appoints Dan Carrothers to lead agronomic business development
SiteOne Landscape Supply, appointed Dan Carrothers as vice president for agronomic business development. According to SiteOne, this hire signals its commitment to expanding its presence in the agronomic and erosion control sectors, particularly among golf courses, maintenance-oriented national accounts and regional customers.
Carrothers will spearhead strategies to accelerate growth by strengthening relationships with existing clients and acquiring new distributors. His role includes enhancing SiteOne’s offerings to meet customers’ evolving needs, from small-scale buyers to large-scale operations.
“As they grow, their needs will change and we will be focused on customizing our products and services for them,” Carrothers said, underscoring SiteOne’s vision of collaborative growth.
Carrothers brings more than 35 years of experience in specialty agriculture, having held leadership roles at FMC, Bayer, BASF and Monsanto. His experience spans sales, marketing and business development across diverse sectors, including turf management and pest control. Carrothers co-founded one of North America’s largest Weed Man franchises and served as COO of a data analytics company.
His industry involvement extends beyond corporate roles; he has served on boards such as Responsible Industry for a Sustainable Environment (RISE), National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP) and Project Evergreen.
