Rickie Fowler, Who Has Been With Cobra Puma Golf Since 2009, Signs Long-Term Extension

0 7

Rickie Fowler has long been aligned with Puma — and that relationship has just been extended.

Cobra Puma Golf announced Tuesday that it has signed Fowler to a long-term extension. The accomplished golfer — who has six PGA Tour wins to date — signed with Puma Golf in 2009, the same year he turned pro, and Cobra Golf in 2012. The German athletic giant confirmed he will continue to wear head-to-toe Puma Golf apparel and use Cobra clubs.

Terms of the deal, however, were not disclosed.

“The Cobra Puma Golf brands are like family to me,” Fowler said in a statement. The clubs and apparel are as good as it gets and the fact that they know what I look for in fashion and style gives me extra confidence on and off the course. While their products are incredible, I also truly value all the relationships I’ve built here throughout my career. Extending this partnership was a simple decision and I’m excited to stay part of these amazing brands.”

Aside from his six PGA Tour wins, Fowler is also a five-time US Ryder Cup team member and three-time member of the US Presidents Cup team. While on the course, the 36-year-old athlete has made a name for himself for his signature style, most notably with his “Sunday Orange” looks.

“We are thrilled to officially extend our relationship with Rickie and look forward to continuing our work with him for many years,” Cobra Puma Golf president Dan Ladd said in a statement. “Rickie is a special talent who brings a competitive spirit and style to the game that we absolutely love. We’re very excited to keep him in the fold and watch how his career continues to develop.”

The timing of Cobra Puma Golf’s announcement is ideal, as the PGA Tour’s 2025 season is now underway. The season started with The Sentry in Hawaii, which took place at the Kapalua Plantation Course from Jan. 2-5, and was followed by The Sony Open in Hawaii, which took place at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu and concluded on Sunday.

Also with the golf season here, Puma Golf released a collaborative collection with fashion, print and interior designer Dani Dazey on Monday. The range, which features several looks for women, includes a new iteration of the spikeless Avant Golf Shoe, which she reimagined using white-magic, rose-sunny and yellow hues.
