Rahm sets the record straight about any false claims on the negative rumors about LIV Golf and his decision to join the league.

Jon Rahm cleared the air on the many claims regarding him and LIV Golf.

It was a shock when Rahm left the PGA Tour for LIV last December. He was adamantly against the rival league. However, the 2023 Masters Champion changed his mind and started his team, Legion XIII.

The latest rumors suggest that he had “deep regret” joining the Saudi-backed league, but Rahm ended the noise, per a report from the New York Post.

“There’s zero validity to what any of that said. I don’t know where it came from,” Rahm said to the New York Post.

“I don’t know why they need to say that some of us are unhappy when we’re not. It’s one of the things that frustrates me a little bit, the fact that they can claim that there’s a source and there’s zero truth to it.”

Rahm did not have a great start to the 2024 major championship season. He struggled at the Masters and finished T-45, and the Spaniard missed the cut at the PGA Championship. Rahm also withdrew from the U.S. Open due to a foot injury.

However, he recorded seven top 10s in a row to start the LIV Golf season. He did not win right away, but Rahm eventually got over the hump and took home the LIV United Kingdom title.

He is currently No. 1 in the individual race for LIV Golf and finished inside the Top 10 at the Open Championship.

Rahm said he is comfortable and pleased with his decision.

“I’m very, very eager for the future of my team and the league,” Rahm said. “I get to be a part of something very different to what we had in the past. I always enjoyed being part of a team and to be in charge of one now is something incredible.”

His Legion XIII team sits at No. 2 in the team standings with four wins. The future seems bright for Rahm and his team, as they are already making waves in Year 1 of their squad.

LIV Golf’s team championship event is in Dallas Sept. 20-22 at Maridoe Golf Club. However, Rahm will try to take home the individual title first with a hefty $18 million bonus. The individual title event is at LIV Chicago Sept. 13-15 at Bolingbrook Golf Club.
