Round two of the playoffs are in Colorado for the FedEx Cup! After a competitive event in Memphis, here are the official Top 50.

Welcome to Playing Through’s daily ritual — Golf Talk Today.

Each day, the crew will discuss various elements of the PGA Tour, LPGA, LIV Golf, and more.

Hideki Matsuyama won the first PGA Tour playoff event at the FedEx St. Jude Championship by two shots over Xander Schauffele and Viktor Hovland.

It was a Championship Sunday full of drama as it came down to the last two holes to determine the winner.

Next, the Top 50 will head to the second playoff event at Castle Pines Golf Club in Castle Rock, Colorado, for the BMW Championship.

This week will feature another $20 million purse and 2,000 FedEx Cup points as the field will dwindle to the Top 30 for the Tour Championship.

Brew a pot of coffee, grab some snacks, and settle in as we prepare you for the second FedEx Cup playoff event at the BMW Championship

Hovland made the biggest jump from No. 57 to No. 16 in the standings, a whopping 41 spots. He went from being outside the cut for the BMW Championship to safely in the Tour Championship. Is he on the verge of doing something special? Is his game coming into form at just the right time?

Nick Dunlap did enough to get inside the Top 50 after finishing T5 alongside Sam Burns.

Denny McCarthy moved up 15 spots and is currently at that illustrious No. 30 spot.

Only five guys did not move in the FedEx Cup standings.

This week will be one of the most critical because only the Top 30 will advance to Atlanta.
