Deadly auto crash leaves 1 dead, shuts down traffic on Westheimer

The incident occurred when a 33-year-old woman driver lost control of her Hyundai Santa Fe when it was going eastbound on Westheimer, hitting multiple power lines and two victims that were at the METRO bus stop in the same location.One victim, a 33-year-old woman, died at the scene, while a 40-year-old man was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition.Houston police said the driver was taken to a local hospital. Investigators said she was likely intoxicated and tested her blood alcohol level at the scene. No charges have been filed yet as the investigation is continuing.
