Commentator’s curse strikes immediately as LIV golf hothead Tyrrell Hatton swears live on TV after losing it at the WIND

LIV Golf star Tyrrell Hatton had the commentator regretting his words after losing his cool at the wind.

The Brit won his first title on the tour in Nashville.

But he did not have everything his own way and directed one outburst at the wind after missing two putts in a row.

Hatton, 32, is often vocal in his self-criticism and has been prone to lose his cool on course, with his meltdown at The Masters attracting plenty of attention.

However he managed to maintain his composure after missing one putt, leading to praise from commentator David Feherty.

Feherty praised his “calm” as Hatton lined up another putt, and missed again.

This time Hatton reacted to his shot with anger in a classic case of the commentator’s curse.

He said: “Disgusting, disgusting. F*** you wind. F***ing shambles.

“Two in a row has absolutely f***ed me.”

Hatton recovered birdied three of his last five holes to finish on 19 under after 54 holes and beat compatriot Sam Horsfield by six shots.

It is his first title since the Abu Dhabi Championship in January 2021 and he picks up £3.2million in prize money.

Hatton said after his victory: “It was nice to play the last few holes and it not be super tight.

“I guess having not won for three-and-a-half years, you wonder if you’d be able to do it again in some way. So I was happy I proved that to myself.”
