The 57-year-old Sandler appeared on The Dan Patrick Show on Monday.

During the interview, Sandler and sports media star Dan Patrick discussed the sequel to the original 1996 Happy Gilmore movie which is officially in the works.

And Sandler revealed that he’s interested in having the five-time Masters winner Woods make a cameo in Happy Gilmore 2.

“I would love it. We’ll see,” Sandler said when asked if Woods would be in the movie.

“I’m gonna write all my dreams and then you never know what’s gonna happen.”

Sandler also hinted at golf legend John Daly possibly being in the movie.

“I would like to think so,” Sandler said.

“You never know, but I love him.”

Earlier this month, Netflix announced that the company giant has greenlit Happy Gilmore 2.

The film will feature Sandler who played the main character role of Gilmore in the first movie.

During Monday’s interview, the Happy Madison star told Patrick that the plot will likely center around him “being a little older now and still trying to compete with the youngsters.”

Patrick has secured a role in the movie as the sports broadcaster has made cameos in previous Sandler comedy films, including The Longest Yard, Grown Ups, and Grown Ups 2.

Woods, meanwhile, has never appeared in a past Sandler movie.

The original Happy Gilmore grossed over $41 million at the box office.

The sports and comedy film follows the story of Happy Gilmore, a failed hockey player who has the stunning ability to play golf.

I would love it. We’ll see. I’m gonna write all my dreams and then you never know what’s gonna happen.

The movie playfully makes fun of the sport of golf due to Gilmore’s antics.

Numerous golf legends made cameos in the first movie.

Lee Trevino was the lone golfer to have a role in the original while TV personality Bob Barker, who died last year, and legendary sports commentator Verne Lundquist also appeared in the film.

Happy Gilmore has left an impact on audiences and continues to be among the most favorite sports comedy movies.

There is currently no release date for the sequel.
