Gosford Ladies Open Day 14th May- Huge Success

Another successful Gosford Ladies Open Day, the sun was shining and carts were allowed with restrictions so 122 ladies ventured out to play a team stableford best two scores to count.

We had visitors from Shelly Beach, Magenta, Kooindah, Breakers, Everglades, Wyong, Toronto, Marimbula and Pennant Hills.

It wasn’t perfect playing conditions because of the wet weather but we were happy to be just out playing golf, mixing with friends and raising money for We Care Connect Charity, helping Central Coast kids living in poverty.

We had over 30 amazing raffles and raised a total of $2 735 !!! a fantastic achievement. Many Central Coast businesses kindly donated great gifts and vouchers as well as the lovely Gosford lady members. Many thanks to all the wonderful lady golfers who bought so many tickets.

The club house was packed and decorated well by the social committee and was buzzing and full of laughter. The lunch of three different yummy soups, sandwiches and salads was popular.

Our major sponsors Creighton Funerals and Impact Gym donations help us offer a generous number of trophies. Seven place getters, eight nearest the pins and numerous ball winners. Monica from Creighton’s came to the presentation to present trophies. Gosford Golf Club also contributed a generous amount of money towards trophies.

The Gosford ladies committee would like to thank the following people, Our major sponsors Creighton Funerals, Impact Gym and Gosford Sailing Club, Central Coast businesses who generously donated so many vouchers and gifts, the wonderful and kind Gosford lady golfers who also donated many gifts and prepared a scrumptious morning tea, all lady golfers for coming to play and buying lots of raffle tickets, George and Steve who sold many raffle tickets on and off the course, Gosford pro Tom who was a great help on the day and before the event, the kitchen and bar staff for providing a lovely lunch and great service, the office staff who are always friendly and helpful, the green staff who put in so much work on Monday to get us out playing and Kieran our General Manager.  

Every year we get bigger and better so please come and join us.
