In his new role, Phelps will oversee KemperSports’ portfolio of properties across the Northeast. Phelps brings two decades of experience working in golf management to KemperSports.

He began his career in the golf industry as a PGA Professional and General Manager on Long Island and Cape Cod before ultimately working his way to oversee a northeastern portfolio of more than 40 properties across five states.

“Over the last two decades, Ryan has solidified himself as a proven and successful leader within the golf industry,” said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner. “We are excited to have him join the KemperSports family and bring his extensive industry experience and passion for service to our team.”

In his new role, Goodman will be responsible for leading KemperSports’ growth initiatives, including expanding its roster of managed and leased daily-fee courses, private clubs and resorts.

Goodman joins the KemperSports team after spending the last seven years in sales and partnership roles with Topgolf Callaway Brands, where he most recently served as Senior National Director of Sales overseeing the growth of its Toptracer Range Technology — a role in which he drove growth while securing partnerships with some of the North America’s leading clubs, courses and resorts over four years.

During his time overseeing growth initiatives for Toptracer Range, he also expanded its industry presence through national industry partnerships, including the PGA of America, GRAA, NGCOA and CMAA, where he sat on the faculty for the Business Management Institute. Prior to his role at Toptracer, he led Topgolf Global Partnerships and secured deals with major brands, including MasterCard, Hertz, FanDuel, Lexus, Cutter & Buck and Under Armour.

“Alex will be a great addition to our team,” said Skinner. “An innovative thinker, he has a strong passion for golf and hospitality, great industry knowledge and a proven track record of leading sales teams and initiatives that drive growth. We look forward to his leadership of our growth initiatives during this very exciting time in our industry.”
