Tasman and Canterbury Take Out SIIP’s
The Otago Men, Women and Junior Boys South Island Interprovincial found the going tough over the weekend
The Women’s SIIP went to a Tasman with 3 win from 3. Otago’s Yoonae Jeong and Kim Fraser both had 2 wins from their 3 matches.
The Men’s SIIP went to Canterbury winning 4 for 4, Southland and Otago both had 2.5 wins but Southland finished 2nd on more games won.
Scoring was red hot over the weekend with most matches well under par.
Ben Patston and Jacob Ballemy both had 3 wind for their 4 matches with Parker Aluesi and Ryan Shuttleworth having 2.5 wins
The Juniors played a mix of matches against Canterbury with Foursome, Best Ball and 2 singles games over the weekend, the Canterbury team won strongly in the end 11.5-6.5
Lachlan Coutts good from continued with a win and a half in his 2 single matches.
The Otago Selectors will have a interesting next couple of weeks with the New Zealand Amateur being played next week at Otago Golf Club which after they will name the National Interprovincial Team.
