Golf Celebrates National Day 2022
The Singapore Golf Association (SGA) has just concluded its inaugural two-day “Golf Celebrates National Day” event on 4th and 5th August 2022.
This island-wide ground up activation was held with a strong purpose of continuing to reach out to a mass audience and to increase the accessibility of the game of golf for all. The event also embraced Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by donating all funds raised to five charities.
“Golf Celebrates National Day is one of SGA’s efforts in our mission to make golf accessible for the wider community. We are pleased with the success of this inaugural event, which is held in conjunction with our nation’s momentous day,” expressed Mr Charles Teo, SGA Executive Board member and Engagement Committee Co-Chairperson.
Ms Goh Kui Hwa, SGA Honorary Secretary and Engagement Committee Co-Chairperson, further reinforced, “In addition, we also hope to highlight the dynamism of golf – a game that not only fosters engagement within the community, but a sport that gives back to society. All proceeds raised from this event will be donated to the beneficiaries.”
This event was held across all golf clubs in Singapore, with Guest-Of-Honour Dr Ng Eng Hen, Minister for Defence, gracing the event alongside sponsors and beneficiaries.
