[Men's Golf] Men's Golf Competes in Chilly Red Raider Cup
Doane Men's Golf had two teams competing in the Red Raider Cup in Orange City, Iowa, on Saturday. The meet was contested at Landsmeer Golf Club. The Tiger "B" squad posted a score of 298 and tied for 11th while the varsity team finished 14th with a 305.
Sam Arnold (FR/Elkhorn, Neb.) paced the Tigers with a round of 72 to tie for 17th. Blake Skoumal (FR/Omaha, Neb.) finished with a 73 and tied for 25th. Riley Podliska (JR/Lincoln, Neb.) tied for 43rd with a round of 75. Josh Spomer (JR/Lincoln, Neb.) tied for 62nd with a 78 and Noah Miller (FR/Papillion, Neb.) tied for 67th with a 79.
Ryan Weiss (SO/Franklin, Neb.) led the varsity team with a 74 to tie for 30th. Blake Andersen (JR/Grand Junction, Colo.) tied for 50th with a 76 and Micah Ramirez (SR/Loveland, Colo.) tied for 58th with a 77. Andrew Paquette (JR/Beatrice, Neb.) posted a 78 and tied for 62nd with Karsten Kern (SO/Sioux Falls, S.D.) shooting 79 to tie for 67th.
Next up for the Tigers is the final two rounds of the GPAC Championships.
