Kankakee, Ill. – Junior Marty Bennett and junior Michael Furlong each shot a round of 85 (+13) and tied for 29th place for the Saint Xavier University men's golf team Friday afternoon in the Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.) Spring Intercollegiate at Kankakee Elks Golf Course in Kankakee, Ill. As a team, the Cougars tied for fifth place with Trinity Christian College (Ill.) with a score of 347 (+59) as the two-day tournament was cut to just one round due to cold and wet weather conditions on Saturday.
Roosevelt University (Ill.) produced the lowest team score (312), seven shots better than host Olivet Nazarene. Individually, Jack Busch from ONU carded a round of 76 (+4).
