Dave Moore passed away

Dave Moore sadly passed away in hospital on Monday 20th December at the age of 75. Dave was a member of Giro and Prescot and Knotty Ash chess clubs for over half a century. He graced the boards in the Merseyside League and the Business House League during that period. He was a stalwart for both teams and turned out regularly for the County team. He was also part of the National Clubs winning team for PKA. Dave was a natural sportsman and not only excelled in chess but in bowls, golf and running. He will be deeply missed by his wife and children, along with everyone who knew him. Dave was a true gentleman.
