New captains and presidents installed

The new captains and presidents for the 2022 season were installed at the recent annual general meetings of the Men’s and Ladies Clubs.

At the AGM of the Men’s Section on Monday, 6 December, Eoin Doohan was installed as the new captain for 2022. Liam Mernagh will take over as President and Noel Reid is the Vice-Captain for next year.

At the Ladies AGM on Tuesday 30 November, Alison Quigley was ratified as Lady Captain with Mary Dooley elected as President. Briege Renaghan will be the Vice Captain.

At both AGMs tributes were paid to outgoing Captains Trevor Giff and Pauline Campbell and outgoing Presidents  Vincent Conlon and Joyce Burbage who served two years in office because of the disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Both AGMs were held online for the second successive year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
