Impressive Mullins wins Open Singles Stableford
Conal Mullins won the Open Singles Stableford which was played over the weekend of June 26 and 27. Playing off eight, he shot an impressive 42pts to win by one point from Mark Coan (26) and by two from Conor McDonnell (28) in third.
Mullins covered the front nine in level par which yielded him 22pts after he picked up three points for pars at the third, fourth, seventh and eighth. He was two over par for the back nine as he came home with 20pts having scored three points for birdies at the 10th and 14th and a par at the 11th. His only one pointer of the day came from a bogey at the index 14, par three 17th.
Aaron Grant picked up yet another Gross Prize with an excellent score of 39pts while Brian McDonnell (12), Shaun Callan (15) and Dessie Corbett (25) won the three divisions between them.
