[Men's Golf] Haverland earns second team all-CCAC recognition
While competing in the NAIA National Championships this week, Mick_Haverland was named to the all-CCAC second team as the conference announced its men's golf postseason awards.
The Geneseo, Ill., native led St. Ambrose at the CCAC Championships, firing a two-round 152, good for seventh overall. That was one of three top-20 finishes for the Bee junior.
Haverland shot a season-low 71 on the heels of a 75 to take 12th place in the season-opening Klocke Family Classic in September. A week later, he finished 15th at the Clarke Fall Classic.
Entering the national tournament, Haverland was second on the team with a 78.46 scoring average consisting of 13 rounds. He also led the team in putting, averaging 30.6 putts per round.
Haverland and the Bees are hosting the 2021 NAIA Championships at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill. The four-round national tournament wraps up Friday.
