Gladfield win Junior A Metro Pennant
Gladfield beat Chisholm Links 3-1 in the final played at Taieri Lakes GC over the weekend.
The team of Karl McKeay, Tony Paterson, Steve Madigan & Craig Burridge made lite work of the players from the seaside to take the Pennant home.
Having qualified 3rd after round robin play Gladfield were somewhat of the underdog heading into the final. Chisholm Links had top qualified and gone through the round robin undefeated. However a big 6&5 win to Madigan over Alan Weir and supporting 3&2 wins to McKeay and Paterson over Andy Pearce and Graeme Keen established their dominance on the day! The only resistance from the Links was Aaron Brown with a big 6&5 win over Burridge.
