Tony Romo Chips in for Eagle on First Hole at Korn Ferry Event
Tony Romo was able to get a sponsor’s invite to the Veritex Bank Championship, which is a Korn Ferry event taking place in Arlington, Texas, at Texas Rangers Golf Club. Romo is no slouch when it comes to golf as he owns a handicap of +1.8.
This is Romo’s sixth professional event that he’s played — but unfortunately — he has yet to make a cut.
Maybe his luck could turn around after he holed out for eagle on his very first hole of the day. Romo was all smiles after he was just off the green and proceeded to drain his chip to get off to a hot start:

Sadly, Romo couldn’t keep the momentum going after he failed to convert a makable putt for birdie on the very next hole:
