Golf tips and free bets: Three picks for the RBC Heritage at Hilton Head including Daniel Berger and Kevin Na

THE PGA Tour is in South Carolina for the RBC Heritage this week.

Following the Masters at Augusta this week’s field remains strong with a host of top players.

Our man likes the look of Daniel Berger for this week

World No 1 Dustin Johnson is playing after missing the cut at Augusta and is the favourite.

Other big names include Webb Simpson, Patrick Cantlay and Collin Morikawa.

Tips for RBC Heritage

Hot shot: Daniel Berger, 22-1

Willing to forgive his missed cut at the Masters – he was right on the safety mark until making a mess of the 36th hole – especially as his win at Pebble Beach last month also came after a weekend off.

This week’s venue, Hilton Head, favours the strategic players over the big hitters, and Berger fits the profile nicely.

He’s firmly established in the world’s top twenty, and finished tied third here last year.

Mid price: Kevin Na, 35-1

Went off the boil for a while after his win in Hawaii at the start of the year, but another player whose methodical approach seems tailor-made for Hilton Head.

Shot an eye-catching 65 in the third round of the Masters to set up a tied 12th finish, and finished in the top ten on his last visit here two years ago.  

Long shot: Mackenzie Hughes, 125-1

Hard to see why his odds should be more than four times greater than the price offered for follow Canadian Corey Connors, who is likely to be drained after his ace and a top ten finish at Augusta.

Hughes’ best performance have been on similar, fiddly tracks, like  his RSM Classic win last year.

Looked ready to win again after reaching the KO stages in the World Match Play, and only a final round 76 prevented him finishing a lot higher than T40 at Augusta.
